Straight Eights is a simple exercise that almost every marching percussionist has played at one point in time. Often referred to as "eight on a hand", this exercise simply warms up the hands and is a great first warmup for any drumline regardless of playing ability.

Rhythm Me is an exercise that incorporates a few basic rhythms into a simple marching percussion warmup. This is an excellent piece that will not only serve as a great warmup, but will also serve as a learning tool for new rhythms.

Quarters is an extremely easy cadence that is a great first piece for new marching percussion students. Quarters clearly demonstrates the execution of quarter notes by using the very simple natural sticking pattern in 4/4 time.
